Poem on Chhatrapati sambhaji maharaj Below
In the land of Marathas bold,
One king’s tale stands tall and old,
Of valour, courage, and sacrifice untold,
Of Sambhaji Maharaj, a warrior true and bold.
Born to the great Shivaji’s reign,
He inherited the kingdom’s pain,
But he stood strong in the face of a tyrant’s disdain,
And battled for his people’s freedom again and again.
With his sword and his wit so sharp,
He fought the enemy, never tiring or stopping,
Through the mountains, forests, and valleys dark,
His legacy, forever etched in history, non-stopping.
But alas, his fate was cruel and grim,
As the enemy captured him,
His torture, agony, and death so grim,
But his spirit, even then, never grew dim.
For his name and his story live on,
In every Maratha’s heart, till dawn,
Of a king who fought for his land’s freedom and won,
Of Sambhaji Maharaj, a hero like none.
